If you watch western television and read western newspapers it is interesting how often the Otaku culture is reported on. Just this week on bbcnews.com there was a story of a Japanese couple who had a wedding ceremony with a robot! Maybe in the west there is this stereotype of Japanese as obsessed with technology. In reality only some people are like this, and most are too busy!
