中級レディースクラスの最近の取り組み　　by Owen
　Currently we are reading “The BFG（big friendly giant）” by Roald Dahl. This is a story about a little girl, Sophie, and a Big Friendly Giant, who kidnaps her and takes her to the land where the giants live. Together they have adventures collecting dreams in dreamland, and face dangers from the other giants who love to eat children. My students have enjoyed the unusual grammar spoken by the giant, who often misplaces his be verbs, “I is happy”.　This is something that my students never do, of course!
　最近僕のクラスではロアルド・ダルの” The BFG（大きなやさしい巨人）”という本を読んでいます。この本はソフィアと言う小さな女の子と大きなやさしい巨人のお話です。この巨人は彼女を誘拐し巨人の住むところへ連れて行きます。ドリームランドで夢を集めて多くの冒険をします。そして子供を食べたい他の巨人からの危険にさらされるのです。僕の生徒さんは巨人が話す、あり得ない英語の文法を楽しんでいます。例えば巨人は良くbe動詞を間違えて“ I is happy.”と言ったりします。もちろん僕の生徒さんはこんな間違えはしませんよ。[http://willenglish.com/adult.html:title]
